KPMG’s national Risk Consulting practice is seeking risk and audit professionals at the Senior Consultant level to join their Internal Audit Risk & Control Services (IARCS) team in Melbourne.

These roles will provide career defining opportunities to work with organisations across a variety of industries with a particular focus on retail, government, mining, telecommunications and financial services.

Working as a key member of the internal audit team, the Senior Consultant is responsible for:
• Applying KPMG’s internal audit tools and techniques to identify key risk issues within the client
• Establishing and developing key relationships with a variety of people in their client’s management team
• Scoping, executing and delivering internal audit projects to be presented to senior executives and board audit committees
• Facilitating process and control improvements with the client
• Contributing to reporting of outcomes to management and senior executives
• Supervising, coaching and mentoring junior professional staff
• Contributing to the development of new national and global service offerings that shape the overall direction of the Risk Consulting practice.

Successful candidates will be:
• Degree qualified with approximately 2 to 5 years experience in a finance, process improvement, internal audit or advisory role
• Retail or government sector experience advantageous (financial services and energy and natural resources also highly regarded)
• CPA/CA and IIA qualifications viewed favourably
• Strong MS office skills are essential.
